Since 2002, Marianne Frantz has been guiding wine enthusiasts as the founder of the American Wine School. Frantz is a member of the Society of Wine Educators and a Certified Wine Educator. She also holds a diploma in wine and spirits from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust and is a candidate for the Master of Wine. At Cellar Door in Beachwood, Ohio, Frantz runs American Wine School's tasting room, classroom and retail shop.
In this episode of At Cellar Door, Frantz invites special guest Ilona Simon, former owner of Budapest Blonde, to debut her new line of cocktail mixes. Simon's creations are the product of years of field research behind the bar, with a signature bloody Mary mix (Hot Blonde), olive martini mix (Dirty Blonde) and a margarita and mojito mix (Beach Blonde) hitting the shelves this summer. Frantz shares tasting notes on all three mixes, while Simon prepares the appropriate cocktails for any occasion.
